BARRY FARNSWORTH - a sweaty, slightly overweight (or otherwise awkward looking) early 30s man. An over-eager real estate agent, Barry has an unusual passion for one particular house. Turns out, though, that he's not a professional realtor - but rather an obsessed former occupant who broke into the house. A little asexual, Barry's one true love is his house.
DEBBIE DELANEY - attractive, earthy, hipster late 20s - looking for a house. Debbie's a pathological "Sexy Swiper" - going to open houses with her boyfriend to have sex and steal things. But what she's really in search of is true love and a lasting commitment.
JOEL RODMAN - a late-20s dude. An earthy hipster a bit on the nebbishy side. Follows girlfriend Debbie around as they "Sexy Swipe" from every open house they can find. At heart, a bit more traditional than Debbie.
DAVE TORKENSEN - 40s, introduced as a hapless jewel thief (his getaway Datsun won't start), but because he's got surgical gloves from safecracking, he quickly assumes the role of an endocrinologist interested in buying a house. At his core, though, he's a middle-aged man going through rough times who just needs a little boost - and maybe some love - to get him back on his feet.
MARJORIE MILFORD - early 40s, falling out of her halter-top; an ex-smoker's voice that would make 50-grit sandpaper seem smooth. An alcoholic real estate agent with a broken marriage and faltering career. Marjorie's looking for a rich husband and may have found him in Dr. Dave. In the end, she finds redemption and pride as a realtor with a firm code of ethics.
RON TUCKER - middle aged cop (late 30s/early 40s) having an affair with his partner, Gloria, but still in love with his wife and family. Unwilling to commit to the affair.
GLORIA HOBBS - middle aged cop (late 30s/early 40s) having affair with her partner Ron. Trapped in a loveless marriage, Gloria is ambitious in everything she does: Career and love.
SARAH JANE TIBBETT - 40ish, PTA mom with a 10-year-old son. Having concealed a dark 20-year secret, she's a Patty Hearst radical trapped inside a Martha Stewart exterior.
MARVIN TIBBETT - 40ish, balding, quiet neighborhood dad. Shares his wife's secret past, but is too fragile to admit it.
DR. SANTEE - Distinguished older gentleman (50s-60s). Could even be British. Through most of script we think he's a kindly nephrologist interested in buying a house, but in reality he's a cunning professional jewel thief. (Does not sing.)
JOEY TIBBETT - 10-12 years old, slightly awkward. Be nice if he looked like a younger Barry. (Does not sing.)
STANLEY NASSER - late 20s wannabe hipster. His personality is like his hair: Slicked back and greasy. The original "Sexy Swiper," Stan goes through women like he goes through houses - quick, dirty and desperate for the next fix. (Good cameo: One good song, and just 2-3 days work.)
BETTY - early-to-mid 20s. Gum smackin', too cool vintage look. Laughs like a cackling hyena. A willing, but vulnerable accomplice to Stanley's "Sexy Swiper" crime spree. (2-3 days work)
